Sarah Finnigan walked into Quality Quidditch Supplies and smiled instantly upon entering the shop. It had been so long since she had played the game. While she had never played on her house team, she had always been a fan of the sport and enjoyed playing the game with her friends during school holidays and weekends. Quidditch was something that her whole family enjoyed, even if it was only her and her dad that liked to play, everyone would go and watch matches and cheer on Ireland: the Family favorite team.
Sarah walked down some of the aisles and gazed longingly at the merchandise. She had always played Chaser. So the she was drawn towards the quaffles. They had just gotten in a new shipment and had restocked the shelves with all new models for the new school year that was about to start. Within the next few weeks, all of the students would flock to Diagon Alley in search of school supplies, books and robes. And of the first time in seven years, Sarah wouldn't be joining them. In fact, she'd probably be asleep. Working the night shift had thrown her schedule way off. Learning how to sleep during the day with the sun shining into her windows was a lot harder than she ever imagined that it would be. She made a mental note to either find a spell, or buy some black out curtains to help her out a bit.
She had asked James, one of her best friends, to meet her here. It had been a while since the two of them had seen each other and Sarah missed him. She had been spending most of her time with Madison, her girl best friend and now flat mate. Though the two girls had conflicting schedules, since they lived together, they saw a lot more of each other than they saw of anyone else. So, until he got here, she would stand there, staring at the quaffles wondering when the next match was and whether or not it was worth it to see if anyone wanted to have a watch party.

James was pretty excited about the fact that Sarah invited to meet up at Quality Quidditch Supplies. He was feeling a bit down about not being able to go back to Hogwarts for the coming year, but going to a shop that he frequented as a student would help fill the void consuming his insides. It was tough to transition from a routine that had been repetitive for seven years, but of course, as an adult, James would have to do it. He often thought that seven years wasn't long enough, that maybe Hogwarts should start teaching kids at ten, or even nine. But, then again, even though they had professors, they weren't exactly babysitters. Students were pretty much free to do as they pleased, and as long as you followed the rules, you could get by well. But having students there at ten and nine might be a stretch - after all, who knows which ones would get themselves killed by not following the rules properly. Then again, James didn't the follow the rules, and there were certain occasions he definitely should have.
As James walked down Diagon Alley, he knew that day would be brilliant. He and Sarah always had a great time together. They were like family, honestly. She understood him in a way few people did - she talked him down when he got too egotistical, and she talked up him when he felt depressed. Sarah had seen him in more ways than one and it was because of that that James felt like she was one of his best friends. It didn't matter what the situation, he knew that Sarah would be there for him through it all. It was a shame they never worked out in a romantic way, but James often wondered if going back to that was possible. After all, she was beautiful, loving, strong, intelligent...sometimes he wished they clicked in ways more than friendship.
He entered the shop and found his lovely friend, standing in front of the quaffles, grinning as he walked up behind her and surprise-hugged her. "Sarah!" he cheered, grinning widely. James laughed as he let her go and allowed her time to spin around to greet him face to face, sure he'd receive a punch in the shoulder from scaring her like that. He chuckled. James was glad he'd decided to stop being mopey and lazy for a day and get out of bed to do something with his life. After all, being an Auror-in-Training meant he wouldn't have much free time and, while he had it, he guessed he should make the most of it. Spending time with Sarah was definitely a way to do just that.

It hadn't been very long since Sarah had admitted her secret to James. Or to the rest of her group for that matter. She had been sure to talk to each person individually and deal with them all one at a time. First had been Thomas. He had been the easiest to tell. He had been so open and honest and didn't really care much or even make it into that big of a deal. She appreciated that. Madison had been a lot harder. Of course, Sarah couldn't blame her. She had been friends with Madison since their first year of Hogwarts and had been closer than siblings since. But soon enough, after a little time to let it sink in, Madison had came around of course and was now supportive again. James, however was a completely different story.
Sarah noticed how weird it was that she sometimes thought of James and Madison and Thomas more as siblings than she thought of her own little sister that way. She loved Elizabeth, but she and her never really spoke during the school year, they were in two different places and hung out with different people. They loved each other of course and were still sisters in ever aspect of the word, she just sometimes felt a deeper connection with her friends, especially now. Elizabeth used to be the only one at Hogwarts who knew about her visions. But now that she was out of Hogwarts and living with Madison while everyone knew that she was a Seer, Sarah felt like her friends were all that she needed. Maybe they were.
Sarah jumped and gasped out a little when James snuck up behind her and hugged her. "James Potter!" She growled a little, with a smile on her face as he spun her to face him. She smiled a little brighter when she saw his face. He had always been rather attractive to her, but she wasn't sure if she could truly ever see him in a romantic way. He was first and foremost her brother. He had been since they were in diapers. "I hate you." She said and slapped his chest, but not hard enough for actually hurt. "But I'm really glad to see you!" She insisted and hugged him again, trowing her arms around his neck.
((I figured I would let you decide how James reacted to the news that Sarah was a Seer since we never got to do that on WATR, but if you want, I can edit it and we can have her tell him now)) JAMES SIRIUS POTTER

He had expected the reaction from Sarah that he got, but he could simply only laugh about it. Chuckling, James hugged her as she finally came round and hugged him after saying she hated him. He knew that wasn't true, of course. They were best friends, and that was something that he hoped never changed. With the weird disappearance of Liam Ollivander, James wasn't sure how the rest of the wizarding world would go on. If there was really a dark force behind it and there were more dark things to come, James was positive that he would need his friends to stand by him, no matter what. He was one of those people that felt he couldn't do things alone. He might have been cocky about how attractive he was, or how good at pulling pranks he was, but one thing was for sure - taking on something big like that would be something he couldn't do alone.
At first, when Sarah told him that she was a Seer, James was confused. How could they have been such great friends and yet she kept such a secret from him? It wasn't like a little secret either, like she didn't like chocolate or something silly like that. It was something huge. Being a Seer shaped who you are as a person - he knew because being an Animagus surely shaped him. At least being an Animagus, he could choose when he wanted to shift into his animal form and when he didn't. Being a Seer, there was no choice. By that, then, it was easy to know, for him at least, that harboring that secret must have been hard for her. Things that make you who you are aren't things you can just ignore, and the fact that she was able to hide it from him made James question their friendship for a very few brief moments of their conversation about it - but then he realized she was simply frightened of what they would think. And at the end of the day, James didn't think any less of her as a person simply because she could see the future. It was actually pretty cool.
"I'm really glad to see you too," he cheered, giving her a final squeeze before letting her go. James smiled down at her, wrinkling his nose in her direction. He put his hand on the wall and leaned his weight toward it, relaxing in his stance. He looked round the shop and felt a pang of nostalgia fill him. He hadn't been inside the shop since he bought his second broom in his fourth year with his dad. His dad had been so proud that he was captain and seeker of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, taking after him and his mother in the sense that he had the love for the game. James wondered if he made the right decision in going after a job as an Auror instead of following his heart to be a Quidditch player - but his dad had wanted him to grow up, to be mature and to have responsibilities. He figured becoming an Auror would show his dad he could do that.
James looked back to Sarah and chuckled. "So what are we up to today? Any ideas besides shopping round this place?" he asked, his eyebrow raised. He knew that their usual routine was to grab some lunch and shop around, but he wanted to know what she really wanted to do, rather than what their routine was. Sometimes it was good to break tradition. Sometimes it was good to keep it. With Sarah at his side, though, James didn't care which they did.

Sarah had heard her mom tell the stories of her great aunt, The Seer whom no one believed and thus became a joke to the wizarding population. According to her mom, lot of her great aunts visions had actually came true, but no one would believe her when she told them because that would mean admitting that they had been wrong, something that it was nearly impossible to get anyone to do. For Sarah, these tales struck her close to home. She didn't want anyone to treat her like a freak. So her parents had agreed not to tell anyone about it until she was ready for it to get out. Only the four of them knew, but now, Sarah honestly didn't care who knew. She knew that her friends loved her and that they would be there to support her no matter what, and she had hated having to keep something so big and personal from them all, but now, she would yell it from the roof tops, she was finally completely honest, and it was a feeling that finally set her free.
Most parents wanted their kids to get a good job right away. they were taught that it was good to know what you wanted to do with your life and start working towards that goal as soon as you graduated. But, her parents didn't seem disappointed at all when Sarah told them that she was going to work as a bartender with no expectations of really moving up. There was nothing that she could think of that she really wanted to move up to. Unlike some of her friends, Sarah had no idea where she would be in 5 years. Bar tending seemed like something that she could force herself to do night after night and so far, she really enjoyed it and the people she had got to meet through it.
This had probably been the most time she and James had spent apart... well... ever. Their parents had been best friends and the two were together constantly. He was a part of her and it was hard not to be able to see your best friend everyday. When he asked her what she had planned for the day, she shrugged. "I didn't really make a plan. I figured we could just hang out in the Alley, unless you want to do something else." She said.
