Brier is the youngest of Taranis and Rosalie Summerby's four children. She often felt overshadowed by the accomplishments of her over siblings, and hence developed a desire to impress and garner attention from others. Her highly developed sense of ambition earned her a place in Slytherin. Though it felt odd to be separated from her siblings who were all in other houses, Brier rather liked being set apart from the rest. It gave her the opportunity to shine in her own right, which she wanted desperately. Despite her tendency toward dramatics, Brier has led a fairly sheltered life, never having to worry about anything so insignificant as financial security. She has only ever known comfort, and the most difficult obstacles she's faced up to this point are her morning chores, which she often tricked out of her older siblings growing up.
As a seventh year, Brier largely keeps to herself. She has a small network of close friends, consisting largely of the Silver-Moons, who are extended relatives through her oldest sister's marriage.
