Xirena had another one of those nights. And in her case "one of those nights" was always something of interest, not only for her but those she scared the living Tartarus out of as well. Xirena was a werewolf, and while away from school she really had no choice but to run the area around Diagon and Knockturn when she turned. At Hogwarts, life was easier. She could run and hunt in the forest areas and wasn't really a bother to anyone, merely to the small woodland creatures her wolf form tracked down. But in the city, it was a good bit different...
The night before she had ran across a couple of chatty old witches in Diagon. They were of course scared out of their wits at the sight of her, and they screamed for anyone to help. That "anyone" turned out to be some Aurors that were patrolling nearby. Xirena narrowly escaped getting captured via the spells the Aurors fired at her. She managed to get back to her home in time, and changed at dawn.
She slept for a good long while that morning, which was an actual perk of not being in school. At Hogwarts, she would turn, be out all night, have to go to classes, and wait to get her sleep when the classes were done. During her time at home, her foster parents, who knew of her plight, allowed her sleep as long as she liked. When she awoke, her parents had gone to work and left her some galleons to buy lunch at the Leaky Cauldron. She was glad of it as she was starving after the night before, having a true wolf's ferocious hunger. When she arrived and sat down, a waiter spoke of several of the specials- lamb, roast chicken, beef, and so on.
"Lamb, chicken, and beef," ordered Xirena.
"All of them?" asked the waiter. "Um, any sides- potatoes, beans?"
"Nope, just the meat," said Xirena, a slight irritation now in her voice at the man. The confused waiter nodded and went back to get it.
