Trini had been her sweet and patient self while shopping with her mum for school stuff. No matter how bored she got in the book store or some of the other places, she did not whine or utter a word of complaint. She had followed her mum around and answered all questions she was asked about what she liked and didn't like. She patiently reminded her mum of what books she needed at Flourish and Blotts, and tried on all the outfits her mum suggested for her at Madam Malkin's, even if she found some of them completely and utterly hideous.
Her positive attitude did not go unnoticed. As a reward, her mum gave her some galleons and let her pick out anything she wanted at the ice cream parlor. Trini was not going to argue with the reward. If there were two things in life that Trini loved and probably couldn't do without after a while, it was cake and ice cream. She knew none of it was good for her, but whenever she could get it, she would take it. Her mum and her Muggle stepdad didn't spoil her, but they did allow her such treats a few more times other than her birthday.
Trini walked in with her mum before her mum told her that she would be right next door and for the Third Year to be to enjoy herself. Trini hugged her mother and bid her farewell before going over to the counter. She didn't have to look long before she made her order. She knew what she wanted that day.
"Hello, sir," she said. "Today, I think I'll have a chocolate-strawberry caramel sundae with whip cream, nuts, and a cherry on the top."
"Why don't you try 'The Cauldron of Wonders'?" asked the man at the counter before showing her the description. The sundae had all the things Trini order plus much more.
"Sweet Mama Morgana!" she said. "Yes I want that!"
