Sven was born in Glasgow, Scotland to a Dutch immigrant father and a Scottish mother, both of whom were skilled magically with his father being a Quidditch Player and his mother working for the Ministry as part of the Magical Law Enforcement department. He grew up an only child, though he would usually be found playing with other children his age in the neighborhood he lived in. He discovered he could use magic at the age of eight, causing a broom to jump up into his hand, though he wasn't too surprised due to his parents being able to use magic as well. He entered Hogwarts at the age of eleven, he entered Hogwarts, being sorted into Slytherin. He took in with the other Pureblood purists of his house, which was most of them, often times bullying those who weren't Slytherin, were blood traitors, or were muggleborn. He continued that way until he was in his fourth year, when he first met Marina Stevens, a fellow fourth year in Ravenclaw. Though he wanted to stick with his fellow Slytherins, and the blood purist ideals, Sven found that he could not as he got to know Marina during that fourth year, with Marina's views on blood purists being why he let his enthusiasm for pureblood domination die.. Fading to the background for the most part, Sven made it through fifth and sixth year without concern, though he was just as concerned as everyone else who was surprised by the declaration of the Second Wizarding War. He finished seventh year with some difficulty, having opted to try and learn wandless and nonverbal magic in a span of four grueling months of study and learning. After graduating, he was rather forcibly inducted into the Death Eaters, being forced to take the Dark Mark. After a few months he escaped, going into hiding rather than staying a Death Eater.
After the war ended, Sven became an Auror, marrying Marina after turning twenty. Three years later, Matt and Melfina were born, and Sven felt confident that he was in for a peaceful and easy life. At age twenty seven though, tragedy struck when a dark wizard, presumably a former Death Eater, attacked their home, killing Marina and kidnapping Melfina, putting Sven into a deep despair, though he had managed to get Matt away from the scene. After a leave of absence due to grieving his wife's death, Sven returned to work as an Auror, keeping constant watch on his son, and watching consistently for signs of Melfina anywhere. As Matt began his years at Hogwarts, Sven began to receive more clues before finally getting a solid lead early in Matt's fourth year. Finally tracking Melfina down to France, he was able to rescue her, though not without her kidnapper escaping. Now Sven has returned home, having at least rescued Melfina. His search for the kidnapper continues though, as revenge stays firmly in his mind.
