Aaron was born to Richard and Julia Thompson in Godric's Hollow in England. He grew up there with his two older siblings, Bryant and Maria, and his little brother, James. The four got along as well as any siblings could with fighting and pranks and cruel jokes and the like. Aaron was the more adventurous of his siblings, despite essentially being a middle child. He would often disappear from his family to go explore some wooded area or a cave, leaving his family to panic and worry. He would usually come back from these adventures unharmed, though he did receive punishment for going off the way he did. He did once receive a cut that became a scar when he slipped in a cave and sliced his forearm at the age of seven. He still went exploring after that, but he was far more cautious as a result of the injury.
When Aaron received the letter to Hogwarts, he was excited as his brother and sister were already there. Hearing that he had been sorted into Ravenclaw, though, he was slightly disappointed as his siblings were in Slytherin. His father pointed out the fact that he needed to continue to be himself and not follow his siblings footsteps into Slytherin, which led Aaron to feel better about being in Ravenclaw. Around his second year, he met Matt Johanson and thus far has been one of the only friends the young Gryffindor seems to have. He really showed how strong a student he could be in his third year when he aced tests that were supposed to be difficult, earning the respect of his peers in Ravenclaw. During the summer between his third and fourth years, Aaron met a girl from Beauxbatons, who had come to England for vacation. The two became friends, but since her return to France at summer's end, Aaron has not heard a word from her. During his 4th year, he along with a couple of others managed to finally break Matt Johanson out of his shell, with a huge amount of help coming from the return of Matt's twin sister Melfina. In year five Aaron took his O.W.Ls with the focus on becoming a teacher, with him looking to keep that pace this year until graduation.
