Arthur certainly wasn't expecting any visitors that day. Well generally speaking he was. People seemed to come by the place every day be it friends or family. It seemed that he and Molly rarely had afternoon tea or an evening meal without someone joining them. But Arthur always enjoyed the company of others, even if it got to be a bit much at times. The defeat of Voldemort had made the Weasleys very famous folks after all, and sometimes people Arthur didn't even know showed up. But again, he never... well rarely turned anyone away. It was better to say he wasn't expecting anyone specific. Arthur was out walking his bulldog Mad-Eye and sipping a cup of tea. He looked to his garden, which he wished he could have worked in more. However, the autumn months and cool weather approaching meant he was fairly limited on what he could grow and tend to. Pumpkins, yes, but not much else. And of course he was bored to the point of madness come winter time. His thoughts on the garden momentarily ceased when he looked over at Mad-Eye, who seemed to be sniffing something with great curiosity. The dog was usually not a very active creature. He must have napped eighteen to twenty hours out of the day. But now something had really gotten his attention. "Well now," he said. "What's that you smell there?" He stepped over and was amazed at what he dug up at the spot the dog sniffed. "Well Merlin bless me. It's Rose's stuffed Hippogriff toy. I remember how sad she was when she lost it and none of the family could find it." She then looked at his dog. "My word, how long ago was that? She was such a little thing then, probably no more than five or six."ROSE MINERVA WEASLEY

With her seventh year closing and work beginning, Rose hadn't had much time to visit with family. She had moved out and was now in her own apartment, starting a new life as an adult. When the decision had been made, it was clear that her parents and brother weren't very happy about it. Not that they were angry; they were just going to miss having her around. However, she felt as though it would be for the best. A new place; a fresh start. She loved her parents dearly, as well as her brother, but she was older now and it was time for her to learn to be independent. It wouldn't be something completely new to her, as she had always taken care of herself when she needed to, and she was good at handling responsibility. She just didn't want to depend on her parents any longer.
Rose arrived just in time to find her Grandfather picking up what looked to be like a stuffed animal. Her hand reaching to her mouth, she couldn't believe which one it was. It was her hippogriff she had lost as a child. She had been so distraught over that. Now knowing that it had been in her Grandparent's yard this whole time, she was almost sure it was Hugo who hid it there. Slowly she made her way up to him and gently took the toy from him with a soft smile. "I remember this old thing." She told him, her voice soft as she wiped some dirt from it. Her eyes then looked to her Grandfather, a warm smile placed upon her lips. "How are you old man?" She teased as she hugged the toy to her chest. "Surely you've been up to no good." Her eyes then found the companion. "And how are you Mad-Eye?" She asked, gently petting the dog on the head.

By an incredible coincidence, just as he was brushing off Rose's Hippogriff, Rose herself had arrived. The visit was certainly a surprise, especially given the circumstances. But while a surprise, it was certainly welcomed. Arthur loved his grandchildren. They were the light of his life as his wife and children were. Being around them made him very young and energetic as if their young rubbed off on him. Arthur beamed as Rose took the toy and gave him the silly greeting. As she hugged the toy, he hugged Rose with his free arm as he was still holding his tea, and kissed her cheek. He then chuckled as she pet Mad-Eye, who perked up a bit when she pet him. The dog was a far cry from the late, great man he was named after. "Rose, what a delightful coincidence," said Arthur. "And this old man is doing well enough. Spending his golden years wondering just what to do with himself I suppose. What about my young granddaughter, who grows more and more beautiful every time I see her? I've missed you a great deal. How have things been at the Ministry? Do they still have that enchanted brewer in the tea room? That made the finest raspberry tea I've ever tasted..."He then realized he was rambling on as Arthur often tended to do. "Ahem... anyway, let's go inside and chat more over tea and cakes," he said. "Your grandmother just made a fine strawberry cake yesterday." Arthur then looked to his bulldog, who was now stiffing in the same hole where he had found the Hippogriff toy, as if he was hoping to find a few more treasures in there. "Come along, Mad-Eye." Arthur then smiled at Rose and held the door for her. Mad-Eye slowly joined them. ROSE MINERVA WEASLEY

Rose embraced her grandfather when he hugged her, the smile on her lips never ceasing. It was safe to say that she never grew tired of her family. They were a large one and a very lively bunch as well as unique in their own ways. "Yes, what a coincidence. I can't believe you both found this." She told him, joy not only in her voice, but in her eyes too. "You know, I have a feeling it was Hugo who hid this on me. I'm going to have to have a little chat with that boy." She teased, chuckling lightly at the thought. It had happened so long ago. She could hardly be mad at the young boy her brother used to be. My had he grown and she wanted him to stop. Rose wanted Hugo to stay her baby brother forever, but getting older was inevitable so she would just have to deal with it.
"I'm good Granddad." Rose told him, smiling down at her lost toy as she spoke. "It's probably going to get crazy at the Ministry, but I'm liking it so far. I can't wait to actually do something worthwhile." The main reason she had joined the department she had was due to her mother. After learning of her years spent fighting for the rights of certain creatures, particularly elves, Rose wanted to do the same. She wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. "Um, enchanted tea maker? I'm not sure. I haven't seen one, but that doesn't mean it's not there." She said, looking back up at him.
Following him to the house, she gave a quick thank you when he opened the door for her. "Oh, that sounds delicious." Rose exclaimed, smiling back at the man as she made her way to the kitchen. Sitting down at the table, she turned to keep eye contact with him. "Grandma always makes the best food. So, what have you been doing lately, other than wondering what to do?" She asked, chuckling once again.

Arthur chuckled as Rose spoke of her suspicion that Hugo was the one to bury the stuffed Hippogriff. He couldn't really disagree with the possibility as when Rose and Hugo were young, they, like most siblings, had their rows at one time or another. Arthur really missed those days, the two tiny youths running about the Burrow yelling and laughing and playing. Even when Ron and Hermione admonished them when they became a tad troublesome, Arthur couldn't help but laugh. But he could not be sad about them growing up. Rose had become a beautiful woman and fine member of the Ministry, Hugo a handsome young man and no doubt doing Gryffindor proud. "Well if he is the culprit, let's hope he gives you a long awaited apology," smiled Arthur. Arthur patted Rose on the shoulder when she said she hoped she would do something worthwhile. "I assure you that you are already," said Arthur. "The Ministry is now strong due in part to all of its workers, and by pledging yourself to the Ministry, you contribute to that strength every day you arrive there. I'm very proud of you, Rose."Arthur then shrugged about the tea maker. "Hmm... odd... must have exploded again..." he said. "Outside of making that fine tea, it wasn't very reliable."Once Arthur was inside with Rose, he stepped over to slice two pieces of the cake and put the tea on. He listened as Rose spoke of how good Molly's food was and asked what he had been up too. "Yes, your grandmother is the primary contributor to my manly figure," he joked. "And as for me, I'm still gardening as much as I can before winter. I also travel to the Muggle part of London a great deal. I find the most remarkable items there." Arthur then sighed. "Unfortunately this nasty business with Liam Ollivander has also been brought to my attention as of late. Being a member of the Order, I can't seem to avoid the rare chaotic happenings here and there."He then served the cake and tea and sat down himself. "Have you heard anything about that?" he asked.
