Xirena Eastbooth, now fully in her she-wolf form, ran through the woods outside of Hogsmeade for her full moon hunt. The air was crisp and cool and she growled happily at how it felt blowing against her now hair-filled body. True, she could unfortunately no longer run in the woods close to the village. It was far too risky as last time she was almost caught. Even in a time when people were a bit more open-minded towards the likes of vampires and werewolves, she had to be careful/ This turned out to be a mixed blessing though. With all the people nearby in Hogsmeade, many of the animals decided to make their homes in the outer woods. In fact, from what her enhanced sense of smell told her, there were actually just as many animals living there as there were in the village woods. Definitely a plus.
She was currently stalking a rabbit. In her human form, Xirena would never eat an animal raw and freshly killed. In that form, the very thought disgusted her. But in her wolf form, she was a good bit less picky. She didn't kill humans though, and never would unless a wicked one straight up put her life in danger. She definitely wouldn't eat one though. She didn't know how other werewolves dealt with their nature, but her mind was at least sane enough in her wolf form to restrain herself when encountering the average innocent. She just wished the average innocent knew that.
The rabbit had managed to flee from her twice, but it would tire long before she did. She loved to run the energy out of them before she moved in. Made the hunt more fun, and presented her with a bit of a challenge as the animal could potentially take advantage and outrun her.
