Alietta normally goes by Ali. She is half French by her mother and half Bulgarian by her father. With beautiful brown hair and big brown eyes, Ali was always seen as a very pretty girl, but that wasn’t the whole reason. Ali also inherited her mother’s Veela charms and was often treated differently because of that. She was used to boys staring, and some girls getting jealous of annoyed by her presence. This is one of the main reasons Ali believed she was put into the Slytherin house. Ali has never been able to tell whether a person is being nice to her because of her charm, or because of the person that she is underneath the charm.

Ali and her siblings had a pretty normal childhood. Normal being a very vague word. A wizards’ childhood wasn’t exactly normal. She loved playing with her younger sister and brother, her family was very close. They were also decently close to their cousins, the Weasleys and the Potters. It was very important to most of the parents that their children stay close to each other; family was a very big deal within this clan. Ali loved all of her cousins and thought of most of them as very close friends. Having family within every house at Hogwarts made the lines of House Loyalty blur. It was hard to hate the Gryffindors when one of your best friends was one of them. It definitely gave her a new perspective. Ali only hoped that when she had children, hers were as close to their cousins as she was with hers.

Since Ali started school she had always had quite a few friends and sometimes even had a small crowd following her, the high point of which was her 5th year when she got into parties and became way more interested in boys. Ali is no stranger to detention. However, things changed when she found a Dragon Egg at the end of her 6th year at Hogwarts. Over the summer, Ali's had the egg hidden in a forest easy enough to get to but far enough away so that no one would stumble upon it. Her plans are to raise the Dragon herself and prove to the world that Dragons can be kept as pets. This has caused her to begin to change her party habits because she would now rather spend time looking after the egg than in detention.
