To Ally's way of thinking, there were many benefits to being a Gryffindor, not the least of which was the fact it was not a far walk between her dorm in Gryffindor tower and the astronomy tower. She was not dressed in what most would have considered climbing attire. For one thing, it helped avoid suspicion, and secondly, what she was currently wearing looked better. The sun was due to set in a few minutes, and it wasn't quite curfew, which allowed her to leave without having to sneak out. With both harnesses tucked in her bag, Ally left the common room and headed for her destination. When she got there, she stuck her head out the window. "Accio ropes" she said softly, and the climbing ropes she had stashed on the roof dropped down. A small smile as she watched the horizon for a moment. So long as Aiden didn't freak out too much, they should get to the roof just in time for sunset, which was an awesome thing to see from that height. She had thought about taking Cameron up also, but he already had his own ways of getting up there, and besides, she wasn't sure she trusted him yet anyway. They were friends of course, and...well...they were fun together, but that didn't equate trust necessarily. She hadn't come a family of Slytherins for no reason. Still, he made her feel things she never had before, there was a rush to being with him that she liked, and they wanted the same things out of life it seemed. It was good, though, in the face of all her uncertainties to be spending the night hanging out with Aiden. Though she wasn't planning to tell him about Cameron just yet, he was always good for putting life into perspective. There was a peacefulness about him that she definitely lacked. It wasn't that she wanted it exactly, just that it was good to have..in small doses. He was always telling her that balance was important, but to Ally it was dull, boring actually when applied to her own life. Still, she was looking forward to this. It had taken a bit of a cheat to win their little bet, but it was worth it, she justified, because he would enjoy this. She sat on the window ledge, legs hanging over the wall, looking dangerously close to falling over the edge, but Ally wasn't worried. She could, after all, have wings if she so chose. It was tempting even now, to shift forms and jump, let herself fall as close to ground as she dared before she rose and darted off to any place she chose. She resisted, barely. Aiden would be here any moment, after all, and she had promised him an adventure she wasn't about to take back. He needed a little spice in his life, she thought. Where would he get it if not from her? The thought made her smile. Aiden Urquart needed to live a little, and Ally was exactly the sort of person to push him over the edge. If there was anyone who could get him to do something, Ally was certainly that person. It was almost unfair she could get him to since she certainly didn't seem to have the same feelings back, but he couldn't resist her. So instead of finishing his Arithmancy report, he set it aside with a sigh and got changed. Shirt, jeans, and a pair of old old boots which he put on hoping they had enough sole still for whatever was going to happen tonight; he really couldn't buy another pair so these had to last. Pulling on a burgundy hoodie, he walked to the door after putting his things away out of sight in his trunk. A glance at the clock and he walked to the common room knowing he had time to relax which was probably going to be needed after he arrived.
This wasn't his first rodeo with her as it were.
Down to the door and out, with at least one person giving him a curious look as he left. It was true, it wasn't like him to be going out just before curfew so he did stand out, but maybe if he just walked fast. He choose to turn the next corner quickly and then move on front there quietly. He was very good at quiet stealth though and so he made it nearly to where he was to meet her without even disturbing a portrait along the way. In the Astronomy tower however he noted almost immediately her in a window frame. In truth, her energy was so known to him he would be willing to bet he could find her with a blindfold on in a dark room or in the middle of a dorm party just by thinking about her. He was careful never to say that outloud however.
Walking towards her quietly (not trying to sneak now however just walking quiet) he said softly to her "Here and accounted for, Ally. So this is the part where you say something like 'Good job, brave man, and come on let's go down to the kitchens I owe you a hot chocolate for showing up,' yes?" It was only partly in jest, but he figured it was worth a shot. Seeing the ropes behind her in the window he was uber glad he was wearing jeans, but then his mind took in what she was wearing and he gasped softly. "you go climbing in that? Isn't like shorts a bad idea for something like this??" Her arms he could see through her shirt, her shoulders too. He swallowed and tore his eyes away back to her face.
Merlin she had he smoothest skin...

It was almost too easy really, talking Aiden into things. He could almost always be led in the direction she wanted, and Ally liked that about him. After all, what was an adventure if she couldn’t drag her best friend along? She worried her bottom lip between her teeth. She hadn’t gotten around to telling him about Cameron yet. Something she couldn’t quite put her finger on made her hesitate. She was almost certain he wouldn’t approve of what she was doing. It wasn’t so much that as...what? She was used to him worrying over, even being disapproving sometimes, but this went...further. There was a huge difference as she saw it between admitting to him she spent some evenings scaling castle walls and confessing to the many things she’d done both within and without those walls with a certain Slytherin. The memories made her flush, even now, and she did her best to banish them. Something felt wrong about remembering Cameron when she was spending time with Aiden, like these two parts of her life should never ever cross each other. It was hard even to imagine them both in the same universe. They were, after all, worlds apart. Not too long from now the stars would be out, and oh, how Ally loved them. They were forever out of reach, and yet she had never stopped climbing, reaching out to touch the impossible. She didn’t just want to touch them, however. Oh, no, Ally Moon wanted to be a star, shooting across the world at the speed of light as bright and fast as possible, never losing momentum or burning out, just...continuous, eternal. She had no fear of death or dying, truly great legacies burned in life or death, and Ally wanted to be like that. For now, though, it was the experience she craved, the sensation of simply (or not so simply) being anything or everything, anywhere or everywhere. She closed her eyes and reached up to touch the window frame to her left, feeling the cold, textured stone under her fingertips. Stone was forever too, calm, unmoving, steady, like Aiden. “Stars and stone” she murmured. What a twosome they made. Still, there was something to be said for mountains, they reached too. His voice drew her out of reverie, but not suddenly, more like a gradual tugging on her thoughts back to the here and now. She turned, arched a brow and smiled at him playfully. “Where did you come up with that fantasy?” she returned, obviously amused. Swinging around so she was facing him, she grinned. “Maybe, if you survive and don’t squirm too much while I’m strapping you into the harness.” She bounced up and rocked on the balls her feed to gain her balance. She smirked at him. “Den, when have you ever known me to dress appropriately for...well...anything?” Ally liked bending dress codes to suit her, and had been docked house points more than once for improper uniform. “Besides, I’ve got leggings on underneath” she pointed out. “So I can take the shorts off if you’re that worried about it.” She gave him a mischievous look. “Are you?” She enjoyed messing with him this way, largely because it was so easy to do so. She got the feeling there weren’t many people like her in his life, but then, Ally prided herself on the fact there weren’t that many people like her period. He could nearly feel himself swallow at her movements in that outfit. What sort of torture was it for a girl to look so good and dress and act in such ways that could drive a guy to complete distraction without her ever realizing it? It was one of the few things that made him believe there must be really a creator of the universe out there because of the amusement such a situation would have to be seen as. "Hey now, that's only a fantasy if you choose to ignore it. Up until now it was entirely reality in my head," he said with eyes that said he was resigned to what would actually happen instead. His gaze sharpened at her words, not fearfully but warily of some trick she was going to enjoy at his experience. "What do you mean, if I survive?"
The other part however was pure Ally.
"Okay good point, I wasn't thinking about that. If you were meeting me somewhere and I told you to wear protective clothing cause it would be dangerous, you'd probably show up in a neglige just for the challenge." He sighed. He knew her far too well, but then again he studied her for years now, learning every tidbit he could from her to know what sort she was, the dimples and how to bring them forth on her face (Merlin those were cute), and how much her form caught his fantasies. If only he felt brave enough to try to let her know his interests, but it would take an entire dorm's worth of courage for that! He'd have to deal with her clothes though it meant more issues to deal for him later. Then she mentioned taking off the shorts.
A sigh. Was it possible for someone to be unintentionally evil? The thoughts that ran through his mind came at the same time he stuttered an answer, and not a believable one really. "D-uh, um no I t-think that wouldn't help..." He closed his eyes aware he was clearly too obvious and he had to throw out a modifier and fast. "I t-think that any t-time a female speaks about stripping anything off would cause t-too much distraction when I think you want me paying at-ttention during this event." Wow he nearly believed that excuse himself, although it certainly skimmed the truth enough as it was! Although it made it clear she could use things like that to get him even worse in the future unfortunately.
He wasn't aware that it also confirmed to her he was heterosexual and that she had wondered about that part.
