Visits to Hogwarts was not an uncommon thing for the Minister of Magic. While Draco Malfoy had some rather rocky memories from the school, he also had a lot of good memories. There were days in Slytherin House that were a lot of fun, even days when a younger Draco wasn't making a complete arse out of himself. Then there was his Quidditch playing days. He had played in some memorable games, a few of them involved his one time enemy Harry Potter of course. All in all, Draco was fond of the school, and enjoyed seeing it again whenever he could. In past years, Draco had gone to Hogwarts to visit his son Scorpius and his nephew Cole Nott. They had graduated now, but that hardly stopped him from his planned visits for the current term. If anything, it was fun to laugh about old times when those instructors who were still there. He had mended any ill feelings he had toward them and vice versa over time as well. He had done a lot of mending since the Battle of Hogwarts when he stopped looking at the world through his father's eyes and started seeing things a bit more clearly. His first visit of the year wasn't for pleasant reasons though. The Minister was no fool, and despite trying to preserve the peace following the disappearance of Ollivander, he knew there was the chance that dark forces were at work. He knew all too well about how dark wizards and dark witches plotted behind the scenes, and could strike when no one expected it. He was part of all that at one time after all. He wanted to make sure the students of Hogwarts were safe. Draco had almost concluded his visit and was now in the Great Hall speaking with Professor Grimp. After an interesting conversation, he shook the older man's hand before Grimp walked away. BRIER ANNABELL SULLIVAN

Brier had been planning her moment from the time she'd seen the Minister enter the great hall. She had sat patiently through his conversation with Professor Grimp, and done her best not to fidget. She had only just sent in her application for the summer internships. With any luck, they'd be doing interviews during Christmas hols, and Brier wanted to make absolutely certain Minister Malfoy knew who she was before then. She had seen him last summer of course as one of the junior interns, but this was the year that mattered. If Brier could get the internship this year, it would mean a job at the ministry...so long as she beat out the other interns, which she would of course. The important thing, she reminded herself, was to make sure he remembered her when the time came. So, when his conversation with Professor Grimp ended, Brier stood, and made her way through the mass of other students to the heads table. Touching his shoulder, she smiled up at him. "Hello Minister Malfoy" she had thought for several minutes on how to phrase things just so. "I don't know if you remember me, I was one of your junior interns last summer." She had worked her arse off too, but she wasn't going to mention that part. She had briefly considered flirting with him, but dismissed it just as quickly. She wanted to earn her place, and her marks alone should do that for her, she thought. "I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity" she continued. "I really enjoyed the experience." Utter ballocks of course, but she had learned a lot, and that she had enjoyed immensely. Here, she nearly hesitated, but the knowledge she might not get another opportunity like this one spurred her on well enough. "I was wondering if you'd gotten a chance to look at the applications for next summer?" she tried to relax the tension in her shoulders and found it difficult. She had submitted her application the day they began accepting them, wanting to be the first they saw if she could manage it. Her marks were top of her class, and her fluent knowledge of twelve different languages ought to make her stand out. They were her ace, a card she was sure she held alone. It ought to make her a front runner, or so she hoped, but it was just as important to make a good personal impression, and she hoped to do that now. She wondered briefly if being a Slytherin would work in her favor, but had decided not to mention in case it gave the impression she was playing for favoritism. It wasn't the impression she wanted to give. Words: 454 Outfit: hereLyrics: Born to Die - Lana Del Ray Notes: Hmm Tags: @draco

Draco had noticed the Slytherin girl sitting nearby as he spoke to Professor Grimp. She had also noticed how familiar she had looked. Draco had dealt with so many on a day to day basis though that it was at times hard to fully recall the identity of most who did look familiar to him though. Draco was about to step away when he felt the touch on his shoulder. He turned to see the girl, and upon examining her more closely he began to recollect who she was. She had been one of the students who had interned at the Ministry over the past summer. As he recalled, she had been a great deal of help to his department. He found himself trying to recall her name though... of course, that was it. "Brier... Sullivan, isn't it?" he asked once he was almost sure he had the name right. "Yes, I do remember you from last summer. Your service was greatly appreciated. Often in my department, the smallest jobs can become the biggest and you did yours well." He then smiled when she thanked him for the experience. "You're most welcome." He had a feeling she wasn't quite done with him yet. She was a Slytherin after all, and Draco knew all about being one of those. Slytherins were highly ambitions, and usually when one spoke to someone like the Minister of Magic, there were certain intentions. Therefore, he wasn't surprised when she brought up the applications for the following summer. "Unfortunately with the Liam Ollivander incident, ,I haven't had as much time to do so as I usually do," he said. "However, you will be happy to know that whenever we have an intern who does outstanding the previous summer, we send them an owl asking if they wish to partake in the program again. I'll wager that you'll be receiving such an owl soon, Ms. Sullivan."BRIER ANNABELL SULLIVAN
