Xirena stepped out of the woods near Hogsmeade that Saturday morning, knocking the leaves she had slept on off her dirty clothes. Her slumber was short, and it could been seen in her eyes and the dark circles around them. When she had nights like the one she had the night before, her rest was very... well... restless. The night before featured a full moon, and therefore Xirena had turned. She did what she usually did, and sneaked out of Hogwarts and toward some woods near the village of Hogsmeade.
As a wolf, she tried to limit her hunting to the animals in the woods. She tried to avoid humans as much as possible, as she had never murdered a human in her wolf form, and never planned to either. However, she was spotted by those who feared and misunderstood her kind. From there, there was the chase. Torches were lit, words of grave hostility and prejudice against werewolves were uttered, wands were fired. Xirena was fortunate enough to evade them and find a hiding place inside a large, hollow log. She slept there and awoke as a human again. The hunters had gone, but she knew they'd be back. She could no longer hunt in those woods. Once again, she had a to find a new place, which was becoming more and more difficult.
She watched as others stared at her as she walked about. She was barefoot and in her bed clothes- a black tank top and matching pajama pants, all torn from the turn but thankfully not exposing certain part of her body. She just stared back, the dead serious look on her face, as she held herself and rubbed her own arms. The approach of Autumn made it very chilly outside. It would be a long walk back to Hogwarts.
