Ronan was born a twin to his sister Jade. They were born pureblood and to purebloods who were truly horrible people. Their parents were Oison and Sorcha Fylan, and the Fylan's owned a pub within the small wizarding village in Dublin, Ireland. They were abusive drunks who would physically and mentally abuse their twin children for a great amount of their young lives. Then when the two began attending Hogwarts, they were forced to work in their parent's pub dealing with others just like their parents.
Though Hogwarts was a sort of break for the twins in many ways, their parents managed to ruin the joy for them by flatly telling the children how glad they were to be rid of them for the months out of the year they would be away at Hogwarts. A cold, hard life for the twins who became cold and bitter and were sorted into the Slytherin house because of it. Both became rebellious and hard edged, not making very many friends because of it and mainly sticking together, feeling they only had each other.
During their time back home at the age of 15, Jade accidentally dropped a patron's beer bottle and their father became so angry that he threatened Jade with the broken bottle which Ronan saw and protected his sister by attacking their father. The two grabbed what they could and came to Hogsmeade and are now living in a small house there while they work in Hogsmeade. Jade at the Three broomsticks, and Ronan at the owlery taking care of the owls. They rely on each other more than ever now, and are all each other have. Ronan has been working hard at his job and in school trying to make a better place for he and his sister, or at the very least make sure his sister does not have to live a hard life anymore.
