Tea time at Hogwarts was one of Adelina's favorite times of the day. There was nothing so delightful as a good cup of tea. And the daily event itself was always a grand chance to continue to practice the proper etiquette taught to her by both her mother and father. Adelina stepped into the Great Hall, seated herself, and right away she went about the proper etiquette she had been taught- placing the serviette in her lap, making sure she was performing good posture, and carefully handling of the tea as she poured, preventing any messy spills either on the table or herself. She politely asked one nearby for the sugar and milk and thanked the person when she received it.
In general, etiquette was a big part of who Adelina was. Through her parents' teachings, she constantly practiced good manners, even when she could probably get away with not doing so. She never understood why someone would not practice good manners at the dining table. What was the logic or purpose in eating like a pig or being disrespectful to others who dined with them? To her, it certainly didn't help the person make friends... well at least make decent friends anyway.
Once all was ready, Adelina sipped her tea, holding the small plate it was on in the other hand. She always thought the House Elves at Hogwarts had a good knack for making tea. This was the common Merlin's Blend, but was not too weak and not too strong. So few could make it just right. She then placed down the cup, dabbed her mouth with her napkin, and selected a small sandwich from the tray in front of her. She had in small bites, which might have annoyed some who watched her. But she would never gobble down one of the sandwiches in big, quick bites and risk choking on them.
