Anna Juliet Higgs grew up in a nice sized house with her two loving parents and her siblings. Being the middle child, Anya always felt a little ignored. Her brother was getting praise for moving up in his life, her sister was getting praise for growing up. Anya, however, felt like that was always the Black Sheep of the family. Not that she resented her brother or sister for taking the attention of her parents, but sometimes, she wished that it were different. She wished she were able to impress her parents the way her brother had. Anya knew her parents saw him as a success; she wished that they would soon see her that way too.

Upon entering Hogwarts 2 years after her elder brother had already started, Anya was sure she’d be placed in Slytherin house like the rest of her family. However, when the hat was placed on her head the verdict was clear, she was a Hufflepuff. At first, Anya was ashamed of this placing, she was sure there was a mistake. A mistake she’d have to live with for the next 7 years. However, during the first week of school, she realized that it was no mistake. Anya fit in with these people. She actually liked them. She met a few very good friends that always made her smile and made sure that she didn’t get hurt. She did the same for them, of course. However, during her school years, Anya kept her strong will and her drive to be a success in her life.

During her last year at school, Anya made friends with a rather adorable little squirrel whom had been an outcast of the other squirrels and had been left on his own. At first, Anya tried her best to get the little guy back into his community but the more she tried, the more the squirrel was shunned. So, Anya ended up letting him come inside the castle with her on a rainy night and that one event snowballed into letting him sit with her at the table in the great hall and sleep in her bed and snooze in her pockets during classes. After a few weeks, she named the little guy Hank and Hank is now as good as her furry son. The two will never be seen apart.
