Felicia loved her Slytherin House Mates and all, well a good few of them anyway, but now and then she had to bail out of the Common Room and find a place to chill and read her issues of Young Witch Today or whatever magical (or Muggle) magazine she had gotten a hold of. The Muggles ones were usually sent to her via owl from home as it would be quite tough for the delivery people from those publications to deliver those to Hogwarts. She especially needed to be alone when reading those as some arse of a Slytherin had some silly remark to make about her reading those. When it wasn't about reading magazines, Felicia tended to go off alone to have a swig of a drink she had sneaked into her flask. It was getting riskier and riskier for her to drink it in Slytherin House or around the school. Slytherin Prefects could get really nosy at times, even when they weren't actually on duty. Who knew some Slytherins could be such bloody goody goods. That night, Felicia was in a particularly lame mood because she had gotten hell from Professor Grimp and gotten into it with a Slytherin Girl named Helga Blurt who felt Felicia didn't belong in the House because she was a Half-Blood and because she had befriended those in other Houses. She had a fresh new bottle of firewhiskey and filled up her flask with it before making her way down to the Dungeons. It was the perfect hiding spot. Not even Grimp stayed there long on his occasional inspections. Felicia looked about until she found a spot and sat down. She opened up her flask and took a big sip. "Ahhhh booze," she said. "Nom nom nommy booze." She took a last look about before relaxing completely and taking a second sip. KATALINA ROSA DE LA VEGA

With a thunk, Katalina's mahogany trunk fell onto the cobblestone floor of the seventh year girls' dormitory. This officially made it her second and final year at Hogwarts. The blond had to admit that it wasn't exactly what she had in mind when she decided to actually attend a legitimate school. It was one of the few things that she hadn't done in her lifetime, though she had to say, she was glad that she did it now instead of before. Sure it was boring, the food sometimes wasn't the best, the uniforms sucked (which was why she never wore them), and the homework was the absolute worst, but what made the whole thing worth it was pretending she was a kid again and breaking all the rules. That was the absolute best part.
The blond turned, jumped, and gracefully landed on her four-poster bed. She closed her eyes and just listened to the hustling, murmmering, and heartbeats of all of the students in the common room as they greeted their fellow Slytherins. Then something wafted her way, and it was a very familiar smell. Her eyes shot open, and she felt her pupils expand and contract in reaction to a smell that she was all too fond of. The smell of something that she practically lived off of. Kat caught the scent of alcohol. Firewhiskey to be more exact, actually. She popped out of her bed and made her way to the common room. After traveling down the stairs, she was amid the hub bub of noise. Closing her eyes, she took in a deeper breath to sniff out the direction it was coming. She caught a solid trail.
Kat followed the scent until she stumbled upon a certain blond that she should have known would be the source of the illegal alcohol on school grounds. If there was one girl who broke just as many, if not more, school rules than she did, it was Felicia Zandersmit. Her arms folded in front of her chest, and she leaned up against the stone wall. “Well, well, well.” She spoke with her most authoritative voice. “What do we have here? Illegal alcohol in the dungeons, and you don't share?” Her voice returned back to normal, and she flipped her hair over her shoulder. A rather large smile became plastered to her face as she waited for Licia to recognize her voice and greet her.

Many of the students had their heroes. The brave ones liked Harry Potter or Hermione Weasley. The sporty ones like Viktor Krum or Ginny Potter. The joking ones liked George Weasley. The odd ones liked Neville Longbottom or Luna Lovegood. Felicia looked no further than Slytherin House for her hero- Katalina De La Vega. She liked Kat from the first time she met her. The girl was gorgeous, mysterious, wicked, and cool as a night broom race in autumn. Kat was everything Lish inspired to be. And she was appreciative that Katalina was really cool to her. It was nice for anyone to be liked by their idol. Lish was startled at first when she heard thevoice of mock discipline. She thought one of the Prefects had tracked her down and was going to deliver her to Professor Grimp for detention. But when she turned and saw who it was, she beamed, forming a huge grin. This was the first time she had really gotten to see Kat that year, she was really psyched. "Kat-a-licious!" she said. She jumped over, ran over, and hugged the older girl (if only Felicia knew just how much older). "What up in yo castle, witch-friend?"Lish then realized how loud she was, and quickly toned her voice down. "Damn, this place has some mad echoes," she said softly. "And don't fear, Kat-a-licious. I have a whole bottle of this stuff under my bed. We can just sit here and rock the night away." She then frowned a bit and leaned in closer. "Um... can you apparate and grab it? I don't... know how to do that yet and we probably would be less likely to be caught than if I go. I'm already getting a wicked buzz."Lish really hoped Kat would, and that she remembered what Lish's dorm looked like. KATALINA ROSA DE LA VEGA

She saw her fellow blond jump just a little at the authoritative tone in her voice. It made her smile a little. Then the girl turned around, and she could actually watch as recognition and a subsequent smile dawned on Felicia's face. The girl jumped up, and nearly tackled Kat to the ground with her hug. It was a good thing that the older girl was so sturdy. She giggled at how excited her friend was, and hugged her back. “Oh you know, last year here and all. Just trying to cause as much damage as possible.” They finally released one another, and Kat nearly laughed at the face Felicia made when she realized that she was being rather loud. Though, from what Kat could hear no one was close enough to hear them anyway. “Don't worry. I think you'll be fine.”
Then Felicia said a few words that was definitely going to make her night. She had a whole bottle under her bed. Now, she could apparate, but they were inside the castle, and the magic of the school prevented that kind of thing. “I mean I have the ability, but not inside the castle.” She could easily just blur right up there, no one would see her, and grab the bottle. Although, she would have to explain where she went for that second because she already said she couldn't apparate inside. Kat removed her wand from her pocket. “Accio alcohol.” It was the fastest way to get the alcohol without blowing her secret.
Kat held out her hand, and a few seconds later, the cold glass bottleneck was grasped in her palm. “All that matters is that we have this here now.” She laughed and pulled the cork out with her teeth. Then she took a rather large gulp from it. The familiar burn washed down her throat, and it was good. “I would love to be on the level you are right now.”

Katalina always knew how to put Felicia at ease. With her being a role model of Felicia's, whenever Kat was around, Lish felt like everything would be alright. She wondered if Kat knew how much the girl looked up to her. Lish had a few Muggle comic books at home that she would buy in one of her father's toy stores. The comics told of superheroes and sidekicks. That's what she felt like around Kat. Kat was the great hero and Lish was the Robin to her Batman. Felicia frowned a bit when Kat spoke about it being her last year at Hogwarts. "I knoooow, and it's not fair," she said. "We just became buddies last year!" She playfully held Kat's arm and whispered, "Take me with you when you go."Felicia felt silly when Kat made the alcohol appear via her wand, realizing she could have done that herself. She blushed a bit at Kat. "Well... that works too," she said. She then shrugged. "Meh... oh well... booze."Felicia sipped from her flask and smiled as Kat spoke of what they had now. She figured Kat was probably just referring to the alcohol, but it meant more to her. What they had now. Yeah, Kat was graduating and Lish would not get to see her every day at Hogwarts, but that was something that would happen later... several months away in fact. Now, they were together again, and Felicia would make the most of it... even if she couldn't remember some of it the next day. Felicia chuckled about being at the level she was drinking wise. "Like that rock song that vampire band does says- just keep sipping and you'll start slippin'," she said. "Though I think they meant blood. I dunno." Felicia of course didn't know how much her friend could relate to that. (Silly way to get the subject going, but it works, lol) KATALINA ROSA DE LA VEGA

Kat giggled down at her friend when she grabbed onto her arm. “Awww poor baby.” She reached down with her other hand and playfully pet Felicia on the head. “I wish I could, but it's not like you won't see me. The first thing I'm doing when I graduate is building my dream house. It'll always be open.” The blond giggled to herself on that last bit. Because she was dead, and dead people technically can't hold property, it would literally always be open to creatures. She could always add protection charms, which of course she would do, but that all meant that anyone could enter her house without permission. That was something she herself couldn't do. There was a time when she could cover the having to be invited thing with saying that was just how she was raised, but that time had long since passed. Now people walked in places without a second thought, and she still needed to be invited.
Licia blushed when she saw that Kat had just simply summoned the bottle. There was a slight twang of guilt for making her embarassed, but she brushed that aside. It was just her vampire feelings spiking again. “That's the attitude. Booze.” She gave the bottle a longing and adoring look for jokes, but then took another sip straight from it. She knew she was going to have to drink twice as much as Felicia because of the fact that she metabolized alcohol differently, but, if she was being honest with herself, she really didn't have a problem with it. If she wasn't a vampire, she would have definitely been an alcoholic.
Then she mentioned a song by The Parasites, a pretty popular vampire band. It never seemed fair to her that she would be hunted by people who thought she was an abomination, but because those particular vampires were famous, they got a free pass. And there was no was she could get one of those because for what she did as a job, she needed the obscurity. “Yes darlin'. They definitely meant blood. Trust me. It's easy to slip.” Maybe it was the alcohol she was drinking, or maybe she just wasn't paying attention, but she wasn't being careful and she didn't notice how close she was getting to blowing her secret.

Felicia perked up when she was reminded about Katalina's plan to build the dream house. Given their friendship, Lish had of course heard about the house before. She let go of Kat and was back to her bouncy self again. "Oh yeah!" she said. "Kat-a-licious is gonna make a party house and we gonna rock it down, yo!" Felicia began raising her hands in the air. "Woot! Woot! I can't wait, and I'm just glad I'll be able to visit you some too." She gave Kat a sincere smile. "You can come over to my house too. We have like a gazillion rooms. Some I don't think I've even seen yet."
Felicia nodded when Katalina said that she had the right attitude. "Booze... always... the booze," she said with mock seriousness before taking a sip as well. "So any plans for the school year? I'm planning on studying a bit more this year since I heard Fifth Year was cray-cray hard. But other than that, I'm gonna party more and more. You and I should throw a party in the Common Room. I bet it would be epic!"
The conversation then turned to the Parasites, and in essence vampires in general. Felicia didn't mind this at all. She always thought vampires were the coolest. She didn't get why people freaked about them. Sure they drank blood and stuff, but from everything she had read and heard, they led a pretty interesting lifestyle. Felicia didn't tell a lot of people... but she kind of wanted to be one herself. Lish gave Kat an odd look at what she just said. "You a big fan of them?" she asked. "I mean, I love them." She leaned in. "Don't think I'm weird for saying this, but I think vampires are really cool. I think the Ministry has given them a bad rap. Seriously, could you imagine how epic it would be to be a vampire? I'd be all over that." KATALINA ROSA DE LA VEGA

Her face cracked into a rather large smile as one of her best friends went on about her house. A house that she hadn't even built yet. It would probably be considered a party house because most of the people she knew, that were still alive, were major partiers. She, herself, could definitely fall under that classification. Plus, she didn't have children, her wealth came from criminal activity, so she had basically no responsibilities. It was also probably going to be a house full of secrets, because that was what she did. She practically survived on secrets. All Kat could do was smile back at her friend when she told her that she could always come over to her own house. That would end up a problem for her because she technically couldn't get inside anyone's private residence unless they were dead, or she was invited inside. “Oh sure. I'd love to come over.” If she could somehow get an invite inside without looking weird.
Licia asked what were her plans for the year, and the blond had honestly no idea. “It's my last year. I'm going to make sure that my name is permanently etched on these walls. Figurativly speaking of course. Maybe I'll make them remember me in one hundred years.” That was a private joke that Felicia wouldn't get. In one hundred years, Katalina could just come back and make sure they remembered her. Though, she was snapped out of her revery, and perked up at the mention of a party. She was always up for a party. “Yes! That would be a fabulous idea.” It would be beneficial for not only the girls, everyone loved a good party. Plus, it was a proven fact that no one partied like the Slytherins. “I'm pretty sure that everyone could use a good night of do what the hell you want. Maybe everyone could wear masks. Not get dressed up, just wear masks. Like a saints and sinners party.” She already knew what she would dress up as.
The conversation turned back to vampires, and she felt herself clam up, physically. Just like every other time someone bringsup the topic of the undead, she started to stammer, and couldn't strong her words together nearly as eloquently as a women her age should. “Oh.. well I, I mean.. I never really thought about it before.” If she wasn't in the presence of someone, she would definitely be facepalming right now. Then she said just how much of a big fan of them she was, and she couldn't even fake that she didn't feel some kind of relief from that. Then an actual snort came out of her mouth. “Yeah, I think I could imagine something like that.” Oh, she had no idea just how close she was getting to figuring it out.

Felicia beamed at Kat wanting to come over to her house. She had Seventh Years over before, but never someone as epic as Katalina. She now totally wished it was almost Christmas Holidays, so Kat could rock the house down with her. "Schweeeet!" said Felicia. "There's so much to do there, and you can meet Master Blaster. He's my Black Lab. I call him M.B. for short. He's the coolest and loudest dog ever!" Felicia sighed a bit then. She missed her canine pal. But then she went back to smiling. When Kat spoke of her plans, and said her name would be etched on the walls at Hogwarts in a figurative sense, Lish hoped to be a assistance with that somehow. "Nice!" she said. "Let me know if you need help with anything. I myself have my name literally etched on a stall in the bathroom. It says 'Felicia was here, yo'! Put it there my First Year and it's still there! Cool, huh?"Felicia was starting to get well hammered now. Felicia then grinned like a Cheshire Cat as Kat spoke of her party idea with the masks. No wonder she looked up to Katalina. The girl was a mad genius. "Oh, it would be like this weird movie I saw my dad watching one time," she said. "I forgot what it was called, but there were all these weird people in masks and cloaks in this big castle and they were all singing some weird song that went like 'oooooooh me tie doh tee wakka'. My dad let me watch it with him, but it got boring after that." Felicia took another swig. "Anyway, we should utterly and completely do that!"If Felicia wasn't smashed, she might have noticed Kat's awkwardness about discussing vampires... but she was indeed smashed and she didn't. She went on about the subject though. "Yeah, it would rock, especially since I'm a night person and all," she said. "But probably ain't ever gonna happen, you know? I mean, I don't even know where I could find a vampire to ask to bite me."KATALINA ROSA DE LA VEGA

Katalina was honestly at a loss of what to do in this situation. If she had been alive, she was sure this would be one of those moments where she would have been sweating. All of her outside conversation was colored with a shade of nervousness. Felicia spoke of her dog back home, and Kat gave her a cautious little smile. “Oh yeah. He sounds amazing.” Honestly, it probably was a cool little dog, but she couldn't focus on that fact at the moment. Felicia let her know that if she needed any help making her mark, so to speak, and again, Kat nodded shakily at her friend. “Yeah it is. And I'll let you know if I need the help.” Kat had a feeling she was in that particular hole deep.
She practically tuned out whatever the other blond was talking about. It was something about a weird movie that didn't ring any bells with her anyway. She was more concerned with all the vampire talk that was going around. But then she said something that did catch Kat's attention. She wanted to be bitten. Now why in the hell would she want that? It was a fact that Katalina did not regret the fact that she was a vampire. She would not want to change back for anything. She was much happier this way. But she knew in her heart that it would be much better to live out a human life. There were so many unknown questions about the whole vampire and soul issue that if Kat were alive, she would want to stay that way. As it turns out she had been dying, and now she was dead, so it didn't matter anyway. “What would you want to be dead for?” The conversation lit a small fire under her skin, but a fire that still caused her eyes to flash colors. Something she didn't know was happening.

Felicia might have been drunk at this point, but she could tell that something was bothering Katalina. Behind the party girl exterior was someone who cared about her friends and great deal, and wanted to know what was up when they were down. She placed a hand on Kat's shoulder and showed her eyes of concern. "Hey Katalicious, are you okay?" she asked. "You seem kind of bummed out all of a sudden. Is something on your mind? You know I'm all about the listening to the probs." She smiled at Kat then, but still showed the eyes of concern. She then nodded when Kat told her that she would let her know if she needed help. Felicia loved getting in on fun and mischievous plans, and she knew Kat was all about the same at times. She truly loved being the older girl's sidekick in a sense. In a short time they had already made a lot of fun memories. "Coolness," she said. "I'll be all over it when you do."When Kat asked what she would want to be dead for, Felicia clammed up. She hadn't really thought of he whole being dead part. But she was serious about wanting to be a vampire. It seemed silly to most, but again there was more to Felicia than the fun party girl. There was some deep stuff going on in her mind. And the next thing she knew she was tearing up. "Katalic... Katalina, I want to tell you something I don't tell a lot of people," she said. "You're my best mate and I know I can trust you with this info. The reason I act so goofy and I drink and party so much... well it's because... well because I'm a Zandersmit. My dad and mum are so bloody proper and want me to be the typical little rich girl. They already have all these stupid plans for me when I leave Hogwarts, and won't even let me say otherwise in the matter. I mean, I really do think vampires are cool, but the big reason I want to be one is that it's the only way I'm going to get out of that other than running away or something." And then Felicia just broke down, no telling how much bottled up grief flowing out of her. "I just want to be something better than a bloody Zandersmit."KATALINA ROSA DE LA VEGA
