Astoria's life did not really start until after she graduated hogwarts. Despite having been sorted into a different house to her sister, Astoria was always in Daphne's shadow. Her parents often compared her to her older sister. She was just the extra. Her parents attention was always on Daphne. She was the prefect daughter even though Astoria was smarter and brighter. She begged the hat to give her a chance and it chose to place her in ravenclaw. But that wasn't good enough for her parents. Her parents wanted nothing but slytherin for their daughters. Nothing but blood purity and superiority. She learnt to hold her head up high, learnt to act like her sister and look down upon those whom were halfbloods and muggleborns. But that was not Astoria. Astoria could have cared less about blood or even house. She was an oddity in her family.

Still the day she graduated she moved out of her home and got a place for herself. That was the day she truly started living. She got an intern job at st mungos in the creature induced ward. Somewhere along she truly noticed Draco. The once obnoxious, manipulative boy was gone, replaced by someone whom had grown up, changed due to their actions. Their parents were friends and once more she was forgotten. Her parents wished for Daphne to marry Draco, even went as far as planning an arrangement with the Malfoys. Yet during the planning Astoria got to know Draco better. She found him sweet, funny, intelligent and charming. She was smitten with him and yet she felt as if he could do so much better than her, like her sister Daphne.

It came as a surprise the she was the one Draco wanted, not Daphne. Much to her parents protest, she accepted Draco's proposal. She married him in a lavish wedding. Her parents were absent though she didnt care. She was happy. She was out of her sister's shadows and was becoming her own person. A few years later she found herself pregnant to her one and only child. She wanted more, she enjoyed motherhood yet she didnt push Draco. He had his heir after all and so she turned her attention on her son, spoiling him as much she could whilst making sure he was still respectful. She loved her darling Scorpius as much as she loved her husband.

Astoria spent ten years as a healer in the creature induced ward before defecting to the ministry, wanting to be closer to her husband. She became a member of the wizengamot, finding herself enjoying it more than she imagined she would. Slowly over the years Astoria rose through the ranks of the courts and eventually found herself as the head of the entire wizengamot, or as her title says, the chief witch of the wizengamot.
