[break][break]Often enough that this is the case for everyone, Luch has a lot of interests. They include music, bowling, sunsets, bike riding, his dog bandit, his chinchilla theodore, playing wizard's chess, and of course, large family gatherings. It's been a while since he's been to one though. In the last three years, he only made it to one christmas. It was the last christmas for Josh as well, so he just felt with the accident so close to Christmas that it would be a while until he reached the ability to attend without him and be okay to do so. Maybe this year...
All I want is to remember the way that it used to be, when the whole universe circled you and me.
[break][break]Luchtaine is a kid at heart. There is no need to think differently at all, he is a goofball! He thinks most things are about him, but not in an intrusive insulting way, and he'll bust into almost any conversation just to be in the know. He may have grown up a lot in the last few years with being Hogwarts nurse, but he still gets his way most the time to be a kid. [break][break] He grew up without a care in the world but to take care of what he cared about most. Money was never really an object, but he did learn a strong sense of work ethic at a young age. He would help his father, Taranis, with the land, and his mother, Rosalie, with cooking and cleaning of the house. He was a very, "I know I'm attractive, but I won't show it... too much." kind of teenager, unlike Cernenus. Cern was the ego-centric child of the Sullivan clan. But, Luchtaine was raised with a good family through and through. [break][break] And every single time we'd throw our hearts in the air, they'd flutter back down so beautifully
[break][break] As he slowly got older and into his years at Hogwarts, he had a strong grip in potions and charms. He specifically enjoyed the medicinally inclined materials in those classes and by the time he was a fifth year he was mending small cuts and bruises. With this magic, he slightly adapted a perfectionist quality. It was no question of him being in Hufflepuff. He was kind, loyal, bubble, and very diligent. He kept himself healthy--by learning exactly how to exercise and diet. He knew there was only one way to live life to the fullest, and that was have fun--always. Never again would he let time pass him by. So going into his sixth year, he paid attention to everything. He made sure there was no need to go back and fix or mend things at all. He knew he had to be true to himself in order for others to always like him, and even if he had beliefs or actions that would offend someone, he knew he was doing them from what he believed and the honesty he brought to himself. Eventually, that offended person would understand and forgive him for his individuality. [break][break] When he had finally come out, he was on the verge of seventh year, and he told the only person he KNEW he could trust one-hundred percent first--Cernenus. He was his bisexual sex fiend of a brother, of course he'd understand. Beyond that, he went to Rosalie and Taranis with it at family Christmas just before his eighteenth birthday, and with an accidental conversation he came out to his entire family all at once. Of course, some had their doubts, their own thoughts and ideas, but they all would still love him. That was just their family.[break][break] And I know I play it off like I just don't care, and I can still hear your voice in my head some times.
[break][break]He went on to graduate and fall in love. Josh was his name. He was a Ravenclaw who graduated a year before him and was a healer at St. Mungo's during Luch's first few years as an apprentice nurse and then a fully employed nurse. They were destined to be together forever. But... Fate had something else planned for Luchtaine. Apparently. There was an accident. Luchtaine was getting packed for the holidays and Josh was on his way home to help. There was nothing anyone could do, but when Luch got the call, he was devastated. He made his way to the hospital, and came into the room that had put him in. They had been together almost five years. He gripped Josh's hand... but nothing. [break][break] behind a closed door, he cried and tried ever magical healing charm he knew. At least an hour had passed. He backed himself into the wall and fell to the floor, burying his face in his hands. [break][break] It took a few days for him to muster up the will to call anyone about this. Losing the love of your life at twenty-four is a hard thing to do, for anyone.[break][break]Don't know what I became when you walked out. You were too far away to see the fallout. I only love when I lost it....I know it's fucked up, but that's the way that my heart works...
[break][break]He picked up the pieces with the help of his family and close friends and continued in his nursing training. Two short years later he was offered the position at Hogwarts as head nurse. He was so overjoyed. Of course, he took it. The first year in this position was great, and he just knew that this was his true calling. That, and he got to be around for Brier as she continued through Hogwarts. They both have some issues they need to sort out, and Luchtaine still has a lot of healing left to do. For himself, and always for others.[break][break]If I ever really wanted you... I should have fought for you.. I should have died for you.
[break][break]To this day, however, he keeps his picture on his side table in his bedroom and holds the memory of him close. Eventually, he'll put his picture away and move on in his love life, but until he finds someone worthy of filling that hole in his heart, the picture will remain.But, he focuses a lot on work and the patients that he has. A lot of them make his day better just with their smile, especially when he sees Brier come through the hospital wing doors. Of course, that is short lived when he realizes it is the hospital wing and she never just stops by. Geeze Brier..
