“Harrison Samuel Coote, a very average name? Why did your parents name you Harrison?”[break][break]
Pfft.. Beats me. Probably because they had to name me something? But it’s better than what they were going to name me if I was a girl, imagine being called Bridgette Penny Coote makes me cringe just thinking about it. My parents weren’t overally original, they liked old fashioned names hence why my mother picked out Harrison, not that I care I actually like it. Although most of my friends and family call me Harry for short.[break][break]
“Oh right. So, you’re a seventh year Gryffindor ay?”[break][break]
Got that right. I’m turning eighteen in June on 27th, one of the youngest of the year which is really annoying but I don’t look my age so I can’t really complain. And of course I’m a Gryffindor, I’m a courageous, handsome, intelligent, slightly arrogant and clumsy young man. How can you not be arrogant when you look as good as I do? The girls go crazy for it.[break][break]
“Yes I can imagine! Tell me more about your family history?"[break][break]
Alright, I’m the oldest out of myself and my younger brother Thomas Hendrick Coote who’s a sixth year Gryffindor. You could say I’m a mummy’s boy, I love my mother dearly and I use to follow her around as a child. She’d look after me when I was scared the dementors were going to get me and she’d read my wizard stories and make me smile, everything a mother should do. As for my father, he is very proud he has two sons, what father wouldn’t be proud? When I get married and have kids I’d like to have a son as well, even if it was just one son I’d be happy.[break][break]
“Right, ok. So tell me Harrison, what do you remember about your eleventh birthday?”[break][break]
Ah, I remember it like it was yesterday! It was a typical Tuesday morning, the sun was beaming it was ridiculously hot and my parents had woken me up at midday telling me they had a surprise for me. So I wonder downstairs to see a cake my mother had baked along with a letter and the look on my father’s face was just priceless and a little bit scary. My mother made me blow out my candles and make a wish, which is sort of weird and I wished for a pet kitten.. Sad I know, anyway! Then I opened my letter, my little brother was sat next to me sticking his fingers in the icing not remotely bothered about me as usual. I opened my letter and there it was, an official letter from Hogwarts, probably the best day of my life. My father was patting me on the back, my mother was crying and my little brother was ruining my birthday cake with his dirty child fingers.[break][break]
“Wow, sounds like an emotional day! What was the sorting like at Hogwarts?”[break][break]
Busy. There were so many first years there in there bland robes all huddled around the sorting hat. I still remember all the boys who I had met on the train getting sorted. Carmichael and Pritchard had been sorted into Gryffindor, and I just remember hoping I wasn’t in Slytherin.. But as soon as I was called up the hat debated whether to put me in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. And it finally decided to put me in Gryffindor, I was so happy! And to this day I’m still best friends with Carmichael and Pritchard![break][break]
“Sounds pretty amazing, definitely a moment to remember and tell the kids! Did you ever try out for the qudditch team in your older years?”[break][break]
Yeah, I did. When I was fourteen I tried out and made the Gryffindor team as a seeker. Quidditch is my life, I literally put my heart and soul into the sport! I'd love to become a professional quidditch player, but if that fails maybe I'll have my own shop and sell quiddith supplies or something like that.[break][break]
“Alright Harrison, well thanks for your time it was great to talk to you!”[break][break]
The pleasure was all mine!
